Two New 1940-S Mercuries - Opinions and Guess the Grade

Hi, Everyone.

I ended up winning the two auctions for 1940-S Mercury dimes I was bidding on. Now I want to decide which one to keep for my collection. Which of these do you like better, and what grades would you give. (They're both slabbed by different companies, PCGS and NGC, respectively).

If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.

  • I like the strike on number two.
    Curmudgeon in waiting!
  • I'd keep them both, I love the die cracks!

66 and 65. I like the second one best. Was that a recent win on ebay? If so I believe I was tracking that one but forgot about it until it was too late.

    Hi, Dennis.

Yes, they were both recent wins. I got pretty lucky, I think.
