This kinda annoys me.....

My intelligence is severly insulted who else thinks this is a scam?

  • If I were that seller, I wouldn't be telling people that I also owned tuesdaynightcoins. In the end, the buyer will probably end up with a bunch of ANI stuff.
  • From the auction:

He (used to be Tuesdaynightcoins) uses the following services: <<ANI,SEGS,NTC,UNC,PCI no off the wall company>>

    Ha ha ha!!!

I do! ACG wasn't mentioned as one of the grading companies! I'll pass...image

Seriously, each coin has an average value/price of $3,000? So, no reserve and one of those bidders might get it for $159? Scammer or nutcase, IMHO...

Anyone that's thinking IMO thinks this is an attempt at a scam. However, since the lot closed at $202.50 plus $19.95 shipping, the seller might have to do a lot of work to make a profit. Note: $202.50 is 0.27% of $75,000 (not 27%, 0.27%). Gives everyone an idea what the third world slabs are really worth compared with the price guides!

<<Each lot will be put together after paid for and care will be taken to make sure you get a great deal>>

Quote from actual ad...put together "AFTER PAID"...so I guess the coins are commensurate with what the final bid price is and not before?

So in essence this is a crap shoot at best?

You know, I didn't even pick up on that. Kinda takes away any credibiility that seller has.

Yes, that's how all of these scam auctions work. The coins you win are "adjusted" to match your winning bid so the seller makes a profit.

I think that auctions that do not state clearly exactly what you win should not be permitted, but I don't run eBay.

That's nothing, last week a Chinese seller was letting $1,000,000.00 in PCGS ( Pong Ching Grading Service ) Slabbed Coins go for $69.95 per lot.

It was a rip-off though, the lemon jello slime-ball wanted $153.23 for "slow boat " shipping.image

    But, the listing says:

What the package will contain! 25+ coins with a total of over 75000.00.

Also says guaranteed $75,000. To me, that means the lot is worth over $75,000. I understand what you are saying with the "after paid" reference, but with the other verbiage guaranteeing the lot at $75,000 he really seems to be scamming people with that alone.

after further review, I went to feedback. Interestingly enough, take a look at the feedback from OCT 24feedback prior to coins showing up with this seller

If you're offended or annoyed, then you're not the target market for this auction...I wouldn't look at it twice.

I would love to hear what the winning bidder receives. It is supposed to trend for $75,000. Of course, it could be 25 2003 Lincoln cents graded MS70.

I am aware that I am not the target market for this, but to a unsuspecting newbie, they could get taken in and lose a lot of money. Just my .02.
