I see no hits or marks on either side. There appears to be a die polish line on the obverse, but other than that I can't see any imperfections at all. I have seen better strikes, but this one is not too bad. So Ill stick my neck out and say MS66 or maybe 67.
Who is General Failure, and why is he reading my hard drive?
There is a nearly horizontal line from between stars 3 and 4 almost to the lower area of the nose. Is this a scratch / scuff mark, or is it on the holder? Ditto re something similar on the ribbon to the middle of the neck. If they're on the holder, it's no big deal. Otherwise, it would have a negative impact on the coin's grade.
I don't have a problem with the strike, the color is attractive, but on my monitor, the coin doesn't appear to have much in the way of cartwheel luster (though I realize it is difficult to image toned coins).

As mentioned, if the marks are on the holder, then I'd venture a MS 66. If they are on the coin...which for some reason I doubt, then its a 64.
Final Answer: MS 66

Guess the lines I alluded to were on the holder, not the coin. How is the cartwheel luster, though? It does not come through on the image at all, and as you know, many of these in Unc. don't have much of it.

Who knows how long I have, tell us
the grade already.
If that coin is a 58, its the finest 58 in creation.
Actually, I am unable to venture a guess, other then
you are setting us all up.
It looks like it has slight wear on the nose , lips and leaves.
However, that may just be the light is hitting.

I would have said 67 if it weren't for the cheek and light marks on the reverse.
The grade is MS66. Good job to those of you that guessed it. To those of you that didn't, what were you thinking?!

Not owning a MS 66 Barber Half, I sure have looked at my fair share of them though.
Nice coin - for a quick second I did think it was a Proof, but the rims were rounded...that was my determing reason for the MS grade.
