My Ship Came In Today - Reverse Proof 70 Grade

Just checked the status of my one silver eagle reverse proof that I sent in to be graded, using the free submission form. It graded PR 70. It's not a first strike but they did designate the label as: 2006-P Eagle-20th Anniv. Reverse Proof US PR70. I don't know about the other 2 silver eagles. I sent them in using my membership free submission as well. I hope to know something this week on those. Just thought I would share this with all of you. This is the first time I have ever had a coin to be graded a proof 70. Needless to say, my day has been made today!! Does anyone out there know the $worth of a PCGS PR70 reverse silver proof? I don't think I want to sell it. Like I have said before, I'm just an everyday collector. But it does feel good to score once in a while.

    Nice score! the first strikes are selling for around 5k, not sure about the non-first strikes but should be a big chunk of cash.

    nice score and yes its great when a everyday collector scores a big one. yes, about 5k for first strike. should be close to that for non-first strike.image

    Good for you.
    The pop is going past 100 now (shaddup Russ!) but it should still be more than $3-$5k.

    I take it you have made the decision to flip it already? image

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    I think I'm going to keep it. I'll probably pass it on to my children or my nephew, who collects coins as well. It'll stay in the family.

    Indeed I am. With the pressures of my job, being what it is, it was such a pleasant experience to see a ray of sunshine like this today, after coming home from a hard day at work. My wish is for everyone to utlimately experience something like this. All of you deserve such.

    Congrats! Nice score - sell it now and buy yourself a replacement next year for less than half the money!
