Oldest was a 1935 wheat cent i got at a Wendy's drive-thru window
Best was a 1944-P war nickel i got in change from sears
Oldest found on ground was a 1940 nickel found on a dock under the walkway of a old bridge. Nobody has been on this dock in YEARS
I have good luck finding pre-65 jeffersons. I save the 1964 and older. I have a couple rolls of '64's i got in change, but i have jeffersons from 50-59 that i found in circulation. The only 40's jefferson i've found so far in circulation was the above 44-P.
I think this week i'm gonna pick up $20 in pennies and $20 in nickels and do some searching the next rainy day
