Based on the scans alone, and not seeing the edge of this Type 1 "slug", I'd have to say this is not a U.S. Mint Type 1 Blank Planchet copper Cent.
With the weight, and a view of the edge (to see if there's any "cut and tear" marks), I might change my mind.

It can't be blank--you can see very faint traces of the worn design...
What's the thickness of the planchet? Lettered edge? Likely not a draped bust. Much more likely a Liberty Cap. The 1793, 1794 head of '93, and 1796 pieces tended to wear out flat like that.

I see nicks, stains, etc. I don't see any design.
