Please keep in mind that there was no "right" answer, as images rarely tell the whole story and tastes and preferences vary from person to person. I bought coin #3 at the higher price.
It would be much easier and more efficient to try to explain this in person, with the coins in hand. And, I can only discuss the one I liked and bought, as the other two didn't appeal to me (though #1 looks attractive in the images), so I don't remember them, but...
Coin #3 has great color on both sides, deep, clear mirrors which are not impeded by splotchy and/or overly dark and/or unattractive toning and/or haze. The surfaces are virtually free of hairlines, to the point where I thought it had claims to a 66 grade. It also has lots of flash (enough so, that a couple of posters were suspicious of its originality), pizzazz and loads of eye-appeal, all of which combine to make it unusual and quite desirable for a PR65 Seated Liberty dollar. Of course, much of that is not evident in the images.

I can see what you mean about the third coin over the first coin
The second coin just doesn't look as nice at all!
