Jim beat me to the punch. McKinnly - the explanation is in your first post. Shane TOLD he doesn't know about this issue; as a follow-up, he confesses he knows nothing about football cards, I know he knows nothing about football cards because he doesn't collect football cards - your debut here is not a gracious one when you take crack shots at a respected member who was nothing but absolutely honest with you from the git-go.
I also wonder who you are.

He confesses the cards are his parnters cards. Right. He sells them on ebay. Right. You can believe anything you want after the fact. Right. He is back tracking and CYA. Right. Not sure why my name is important, and how that will change " you practice what you preach" Right. But if you must know. Allow myself to introduce myself. My name is Brad.
Alright Co*ksu*ker Brad, My name is shane Leonard. Check out my Ebay user name at SSWorld. The listed owner of this ebay ID is Scott Webb who named this after Scott and Shane's World back 7 years ago when we signed up to use Ebay. If you pull up Scott Webb on PSAs Set Registry you will see all Football and Basketball cards (no Baseball). If you pull up my sets you will see only Baseball not Football or Basketball. He sells on Ebay and I don't. He has a scanner, I don't. You can ask 12 guys about this on the boards because I have to use someone to scan cards for me so I can sell something. You can check out the only item that I listed on Ebay under SSworld which ended last night(1947 Tip Top bread set for $9700- that is a really rare BASEBALL SET which I know a lot of). It looks like a third grader listed. That is because I don't know how to do shi* on the computer. You got a problem with me now? If you question my integrity again, it won't be a good one Brad.

You have quickly alienated yourself with your attacks on Shane. Shane is one of the good guys both here on the boards and in the greater collecting community. For someone who is new to these message boards, you sure have generate a substantial amount of illwill in a short period of time.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I am taking that as a threat!! You have taken this to another level. You better stop while you are ahead. BTW the definition of partner is the following: a person associated with another or others as a principal or a contributor of capital in a business or a joint venture, usually sharing its risks and profits. So, your partner wanted to rip me off and you were going to share in the proceeds. Right. I would have taken this private, but he doesn't have a private IM.
Partner = gay live-in "spouse"....not that there's anything wrong with that Braaaaaaaaaaaddddd. You're just too new to come in here swinging - I'd rather you go away. Right.

McKinnly- It is clear to me that you are off your rocker at this point. I know your name is not Brad. You tried making me look like I did you wrong and I first apologized to you if I wronged you and gave you a chance to explain what I did that pissed you off. And to find out that it was all over the pricing of my friends cards that was priced too high? You passed on them, but others purchased 14 cards from Scott before they hit Ebay at the prices that HE set. Were the prices set aggressively for the POP 1/2/3 ? Yes, most all collectors price cards first before they go to Ebay to help others here on the boards. If the interested party wants the card he BUYS it. Just like Cuse here that listed his card for $2900 on Ebay and Jim offered $2500 for it. He was estimating the value before it hit the market. I gave you all the explaination and proof to clear my name that you slandered and you come back as if I am still lying to you. I have no reason to lie in this situation. It would have been much easier for me to say that these were all my cards ($45,000 worth) and that yes I am pricing these to make a profit.
You are not welcome here McKinnly. Go find someone else that has done you wrong.

Sagard, On Nearmint's board there is a "pre-60's" contest that is listed. It also includes the few earlier issues that are gridiron related. Jim does quite well in that area and it is really a contest between him and the empire. Fuzz
Wanted: Bell Brands FB and BB, Chiefs regionals especially those ugly milk cards, Coke caps, Topps and Fleer inserts and test issues from the 60's. 1981 FB Rack pack w/ Jan Stenerud on top.
<< <i>I prefer to help out fellow collectors here on the message boards instead of going the Ebay route. As a collector you can never go wrong helping others. >>
You can ask anything for your cards or your partners cards. But you told me you didn't know anything about cards. I found out later that you do, therefore you were a hypocrite. A hypocrite to me and now your post about helping out others. So you help other collectors out by asked 2-3 times their value? Now you say that it was $45,000 worth of cards. More reason for me to believe you knew about football cards. You make business decisions with know anything? You want to turn your private message on? We can continue this discussion.
<< <i>It was a 1970 FB PSA 10 and a few 1970FB PSA 9's. The 9's were selling on ebay for about $35-45 each, which was high, and you wanted about twice that amount. The 10's were selling for about $250-$300 only when MOSH was bidding and you wanted at least twice that amount. You were quoting me prices well above the market. I think you later listed them on ebay, but I was turned off by your attempted to sell them to me, so I didn't bid on thm. >>
Since when is asking double an eBay price unreasonable? Shane, I'll be glad to pay you $90 for any 1970 PSA 9 I need, and I'll thank you for it also. Saying the price is "high" is relative to what you are willing to pay.
As a buyer, I realize that most of the time a private offer for sale might be above what I am willing to pay, but I have to weight that against how long I am willing to wait for it on eBay. But as a potential buyer, I always appriciate the opportunity.
Doesn't take any effort to thank someone and decline and offer. I'm open to any offers on cards I need, and always express appreciation for the consideration, no matter the outcome.
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
CALLING all board moderators.................. Please end this SPAM, Spam in the can, naming calling, etc. thread.
NONE of this in fighting has anything to do with the original post. Yet, I fear all this bickering may be confused with me and the way I conduct my business.
Please wipe it out, lock it or whatever moderators can do on this board. Thank you
Anthony and Jeremy- I feel the same way with cards that I need. I would love the idea that someone contact me with cards that I need. Many times when I am offered cards they are priced very strong and I can either accept or decline. I am thrilled that I have an opportunity to buy the card directly without having to compete for the card in the open market. The fact that I offered the cards to collectors is the point. If the pricing was incorrect high or low is really not the point. If you feel that I am a hyprocrite because of this, that is your take on it. As for the comment about me not knowing anything about cards. First, I never stated that I do not know anything about cards. I may have said I don't know anything about Football cards because I don't. How can you not have some sort of card knowledge when you are on these boards? For you to assume that I don't know anything when I have been on these boards for 4 years is crazy. Again, the cards were not mine and I was just trying to help those who collect here on the boards. You wanted to buy pop 1/2/3 at the prices that pop of 8's were selling for on Ebay and you are pissed that you did not steal them from SCOTT. My business dealings with him is not related to cards, so I had no financial interest in his investments.

I have to agree with Jeremy. Cuse i'm sorry your thread went the way it did. many threads here do exactly that. many here commend you on how you conducted yourself.
Thank you Art and Steve. Nice comment Art--appreciate it.

First, I don't want to have to compete for the cards--I will offer a strong fair price and eliminate the risk for the seller.
Secondly, do not have time to check ebay for all of my sets on a regular basis so I miss that stuff.
Sagard,
Don't know--nearmint sportscards would have that info.
Thanks Ironranger--I agree.
