The competition is stiff. Will this coin end up in an NNC holder ? image...its not that senseless when you can turn a buck.

How would you grade it ? I thought it looked to be about VF30 to XF.

If it is genuine and problem free, he will keep it for his personal stash. None of the "good stuff" he wins shows up in his auctions.

I cannot tell diddly from the photos and do not have the risk tolerance to go after such a coin on ebay (this is an MBT special™).

The pictures are pretty bad, but my guess is the coin is genuine but was used for jewelry. I think I see some solder residue on the “ME” of “AMERICA” and the results of some less that first rate removal of solder from the left wreath stem, through the wreath to the letters “UN” in “UNITED.”

Given the rarity, it’s worth the price paid, but it won’t be a threat those who owned the finest known examples.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
