New addition to Judaean coin collection - Pontius Pilate!!!

I just added a new coin to my Judaean collection, a coin issued under Pontius Pilate (Hendin 649). It's in my image gallery and shown below.

For those who know a little about ancients and/or Judaean coins, give me your best guess as to what I paid. I'm curious as to how "smartly" I purchased this coin. I really like this piece because of the fact that it's well centered, has great detail and most of the legend, and nice "original" look to it.

As an extra aside, this came from David Hendin (through the indirect means of an auction).

    Value guess? Hard to say - depends how much the "Jesus may have held this coin" spin was applied. I'd say somewhere around $40 to $50? I haven't bought a Judaean coin in a while, so haven't really been paying attention; CV in the Sear Greek Imperial is £12 for "typical condition". For Pilate, I've only got one of the earlier (simpulum, year 16/~30 AD) types.

    If you are going to buy ancient Judaean coins, there is not a better person to buy them from. Nice coin!

    Hendin's latest book "Guide to Biblical Coins" 4th edition is one of the best coin books ever written!
