<< <i>When was I ever "unsportsman-like" (is that a word?) regarding the Yankees? I seem to remember a whole bunch of "Boston sucks" and "Boston is finished" type threads going on just a short time ago, and we just took them in stride. >>

Forgive the yankee 'fans'...they've been drinking all evening and night trying to erase the nighmare of an 8-3 DRUBBING that took place today; of losing THREE STRAIGHT games to a team they were supposed to sweep; and their beloved (yet overrated) manager getting tossed. They are as classless as it comes, and, instead of acting like they've won before, start nonsense threads taunting red sox fans after the season was over. CLASSLESS to the max.

<< <i>Remember, you Yankee fans claim to be the "biggest team in professional sports", and because of all the hype that surrounds your team, you naturally are going to have more people rooting against you. It doesn't mean anything other than a lot of MLB fans like to see the Yankees lose, because of what they represent. >>

But anyone who dares not drink the ny yankee koolaid must be a 'hater' in the eyes of these clowns - they don't know what criticism is as they are surrounded by media and 'fans' wearing rose-colored glasses all day and all night.

And you're supposedly 'not' a yankees fan who hopped off the bandwagon the minute they lost to the tigers today.

    Ironic, no?

If you aren't a fan of the yankees, why are you so vehemently defending them?

CT-You know I've never had one of those icon things in my sig. Before I'm even a Yankees fan, I'm a fan of the game. The only thing I remember writing(to you, in fact) was before the Yankees at Fenway series was that Robinson Cano was the player to watch out for. I got lambasted and then he proceeded to baste Boston pitching. But. I love the game. I watch almost any game that is on, although I am a Yankee fan. I do understand that as the Yankees are so much the face of the league(franchise wise); they have more fans and more haters. Most of those new fans are hangers on who have no idea that the Yankees sucked for a long time lol. Most of the haters, well; there are plenty of reasons to hate the Yankees. First and foremost, the championships.

  • I love the game too, but as a Tigers fan, I got sick of hearing national television and their announcers speak about how the Tigers could not even adjust Jeter's jock strap, or that of any Yankee member!!!

I never called myself a 'sorcerer', it was simply the title of a character of a game I played. A game which is likely far, far, far above your skillset to play. Yes I collect baseball (and football) cards - got a problem with that? I mean I know you can't afford it, working as a grocery clerk, but don't hate, bitz. Think what I want of you? All I think of you is a scared little boy who hates anyone with a different opinion as his own.

This is too easy to ridicule, so I'll be a sport and let this one go by.

BTW, Ax, you haven't responded to the post where you claim that it's more understandable that basketball fans riot after a championship because that's what you'd expect from them. I thought you were more openminded than that--what gives? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Why do you compare celebratory facts as to what happened 20 years or so ago. Detroit has seen many championships since then, with only MINOR infractions, same infractions which ANY winning city produces!

you and open-minded would be the correct spelling here.

I never said anything about it being understandable - I simply was pointing out where your fuzzy memories about the rioting came from. Perhaps you have been taking lessons from the resident idiots here about misquoting. I never said 'understandable'. There was much hoopla after the Sacramento Kings showed images of said rioting, burned out cars, and whatnot during a home game against the Pistons last year (or the year before).

What gives is you're a simple-minded troll who likes to fight on messageboards because you'd get your ass handed to you if you ever ran your yap like this in person. I understand that you were neglected as a child, and your parents didn't raise you well. I understand you'd rather root for a front running team just to feel the acceptance you never did as a child. I understand you have deep-seeded emotional issues you should be seeing a therapist about, and not yapping on the CU forums.
