New ship date for SAE anniversary sets...

Looking on the US mint website now says ship date of 10/12/06. Not crossing my fingers though. My status still shows 12/8/06

My gold 3 pc changed status to : In Stocked and Reserved!!!

I hope that's a good sign, as they are supposed to ship by tomorrow.

Anyone got the three coin numbers from PCGS for the set?

I ordered on day one, and my tracking still shows 12/8 ship date.
But mint sales site for the set says Product will be available for shipping 10/12/2006!!!!

While I've always had good dealings with the mint, I have learned to never fully trust the dates they show on the website. While I thought December was a little late for this set to be ready, I think mid-November is more realistic than mid-October. After all, the uncs will not be ready until then... unless it's going to take that long to produce the boxes for the individual uncs?

If the sets are shipped after October 26th, will they be ineligible for FS designation as well as 20th Anniversary, even if they are in an unopened box?
I use October 26th because that is the date the first Unc Silver was released (in the 2 coin Gold/Silver set)

FS designation is basically a farce to get people to pay crazy money for a coin...................but what do I know!image

Yes, you are correct, like putting chrome on a car and asking for more money....and it works. Should we all get together and fight the silliness or realize that the marketplace defines price and just go with the flow.

Because i opened the case before sending in my sets to be graded, only the Reverse and the UNC were graded as First Strike 20th Anniversary. Those all sold so fast it was nuts. The 1o Regular proof coins from the same sets but without the designation? 1 70 and 9 69s, all DCAM, sit like redheaded stepchildren (no offense meant to all the red headed stepchilderen out there). No buyers, no interest. Big, nicely graded paperweights. The only benefit is i know they are worth at least melt. had they been given the useless, frivilous FS and 20th label, they would have sold easily. Same coins, same origination, just a silly label.

Oh yeah--Im going for that label from now on.
