This one is cool. Looks like there's room to re-engrave HARASHA on the reverse, on top of the name of the guy who won it. image

More chance of me waving an Ottoman flag on Greek Independence Day (after all, I am haRasha) than winning an accountant medal!

    Cool medal. image

It appears to be silver. Is it?

It appears to be silver, but I cannot tell what fineness or whether it is plated.

Most Indian silver is sterling (925) so if it's heavy enough this is probably what it is.

In fact, if it looks silver in hand then it's probably sterling since they make almost no plate except a few commercial products for export.
