CNG, suprise

I just got home from a weekend trip (Wedding) in San Diego and received a CNG invoice...

I thought I ended up with the big fat zero, but won this for my Ancient Greek type Collection:

Apologies. Forgot to list the details:

BRUTTIUM, Kaulonia. Circa 475-425 BC. AR Nomos (8.07 g, 7h). Apollo advancing right, holding branch; small daimon running left on Apollo's left arm; to right, stag standing right, head reverted / Stag standing right; laurel branch to right. Noe, Caulonia, Group F, 83 (same dies); HN Italy 2046. Near EF. Excellent metal.

    CNG Link

There were three other Kaulonia's estimated at $1000 and this single at $500 (couldn't really tell the difference in detail)

I like that little man. CNG's photo makes him look as if he's shooting something towards Apollo's face, some kind of early laser. image But he's on the right arm, not the left.

edited: strike that, apollo's chest is towards us, it fooled me, yogis turn like this with their legs straight on and their upper buddy elsewhere. Or good footballers when they dribble. image

    Wow! An OPTICAL ILLUSION.

    I hadn't noticed it before...

If you look at Apollo enough times, he seems to switch his arms left and right...His chest can also look like shoulder blades and you're looking at his back (and the arms switch)

    Anyone else see it?

Or good footballers when they dribble>>>

    What's a footballer???
    Oh,, you mean soccer??? image
