grade my Indian

Ok I am trying the scanner again. I am posting double images so please tell me which ones are the better images, I when 200 dots per inch on one set and 300 dots per inch on the second.
this image is 200dpi:

this one is 300dpi:

Now the obverse(much nicer side of this coin)
this is 200dpi

this is 300dpi

I can't grade very well but I think it is at least xf/au. the coin has tons of luster.. IMHO almost too much for it's condition.

The coin looks to be high grade AU at a minimum.
JMHO
this is the plastic tomb that it is in now:
I bought it a few years ago when i didn't have a clue about grading or collecting for ($300). I soon figured out I got hosed so I put in in the shame on me box and ignored it for years. Now that I know more about coins I am thinking of cracking it out and submitting it. I think it would be worth it if I could snag an AU grade.
Does anyone think it could grade that high at PCGS?
My main reason for getting the coin graded would be for resale so I can fund my platinum addiction.

I think it would definitely grade AU. At least AU-55, I think.
Just goes to show you why these "third world" grading companies have no influence in the market with people who know what they are doing.
Based on your pics, not a good bet for a crossover.....Keep it in its coffin!!!

Have you read the replies to this thread? If so, you know that a number of people think it grades AU or higher.

I am not looking to crossover but rather to get a proper grade on the coin. I can sell it much easier if I get it in a NGC or PCGS slab. I am trying to determine if it could make XF or AU

you hit the nail on the head michael. I want to net at least my original 300 plus the grading fee. In XF or AU certified grade I can get that.

I did get smarter (I hope)on my purchases of what a ms64 should be :
this one is a beauty
<< <i>I really enjoy this series - I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I do own a couple of these. Based on your scans I would grade your coin MS-62. I do not see any wear, there are obviously some detracting tics, but the strike looks better than average and the fields relatively clean. >>
