I hope the coin market correction, makes a significant reversal in prices.
I have been looking for a nice draped bust - small eagle dollar for my type set for a while now.
It need not be anything jaw dropping, a nice mid - range circulated model would fit me just fine.
I recently saw the mailing that Haritage sent out with a vf35 dollar certified by NGC.
The history just about put me into a coma. Jeeze, how that thing had gone up.
1993 - $1375
1994 - $2310
2001 - $2300
2002 - $1840
2006 - $6037
Now there's a reserve set at $4375
Ouch, was 2006 just an abnormality where a couple bidiots went against one another or did those things really go up in
the entire market like that? Considering the reserve, it seems to me that Haritage thinks the earlier 2006 price was not
an abnormality. If we are truely in a correction, that thing should sit without a trace of interest at that price. And I hope it
does, cuz I'd like to grab it at half that price, regardless of how unlikely that is.
