Sell Gold!

I restocked bullion today and almost as soon as the word "deal" was said, the market dropped 10 bucks.

Grrrrrr

I sold a little more two weeks ago - I'm glad I did.

I wish we'd get a bounce again to dump my last 10 ounces.

There was some strenght in the Gold Market this week that was quickly KNOCKED OUT by central bank selling, they have until the 26th under contract to sell there allotment or loose the right this year. For the amount of Gold they have been dumping and driving prices down, someone has been sucking it all up at the lower prices.
Look for softness until after the 26th. If Gold drops below $550 Jump all over it.

Keep an eye on Silver, there is money to be made there between now and January.

    GOOD!

If this keeps up, I'll be able to satisfy my gold bug sweet tooth for a lot less money.

With gas prices going down, and people figuring that Iran is not going to be as much of a pain in the butt as they might have seemed (but just you wait!) the gold market has gone bearish.

I would not want to be buying gold bullion for profit just now.

Good! If it keeps on dropping I'll finally be able to buy a $10 Indian and $20 Saint pocketpiece.

    Cheers,

Shouldn't be too hard. Just look for big one ounce gold coins with buffalos on them.

I didn't see anything in the charts that would counter that this is anything but a correction in the longer term uptrend. If it breaks well below the 200 day MA then we can start feeling some anxiety.
This could just be the last wave of sell-offs that occured starting in May. Things go up and then they go down.

Another $10-$20 and it will be rip-roaring buy.

  • It's $23 (3.5%) below the 200 day MA now. What do you call "well below"?

$550 to $560 and i am all over it with both feet. My only problem is where the heck to put it all. I guess a 3rd safe is in order.image

  • If it goes through support of 542, it will drop in the 520's.

Stockcharts says the 200MA is $591.90 and current price is $576.80. See the chart and see what you think. I do not see anything there I want to sell. The 50 and 200MA's are not razor sharp when they affect price. It would be better if they were drawn on the chart in crayon.
  • Some big shot on Squawk Box just explained why gas is going WAY down. I sure am glad I don't own any expensive gold.

  • Its hard to make yourself do it but the time to buy is when the price is dropping..........

You just have to be able to hold out for the increase........
