<< <i>If I like it I buy, if not I pass. Pretty simple formula that has worked well for me whether buying from the mint or anywhere else. >>
If few buy a certain coin produced by the mint, wouldn't that coin have great potential for appreciation especially if it is needed for a set?
be on the market for a lot less in a few years. Be patient if you want
mint products and it can save you some money.
This is less true now than in the past but can still work.
So--look, think, buy or walk
<< <i>Lets look at today for example. Low mintage, high collector base, gold, its a buy. If the mintage of the 3 coin set had been 20,000 it might still have demanded action, but a 10,000 mintage was like a perfect storm. 5,000 would have been unthinkable. Now you also have to look for losers--if a coin just doesnt look like its moving, it could be a low mintage sleeper--raise its head in 5 years and make everyone kick themselves.

But often times we find ourselves on a budget. And so the Haves will buy what the Have Nots cannot afford. I went out on a limb and ordered me up a set of the GAE anniversary coins for $2,610. That's definitely over my single Mint-order budget. But hey! I wanted it bad so I bit the bullet. Look, think, Buy or Walk, but don't let the sure thing pass you by!

<< <i>I agree with Fatman, Purchase what you like. If buying to profit you may be better off with CU stock. >>

Do you see it going up and up? I may buy some. Pretty cheap right now. Worth taking a chance. May be better than buying NCLT for profit.
