Would your Confidence in PCGS grading be Changed if it were certified by the ANA ?

Apparently, if PCGS and any other TPG companies are deemed qualified by the ANA they can be recognized (for a fee) as an Official Grading Service of the ANA ! Would your confidence in such TPG services be enhanced, or unchanged ? In my view, no matter how many Services ANA deems worthy (for a Fee) of their Approval. We all know and recognize the #1 and #2 Grading Services !

No. I have no confidence in the ANA.

Remember, they took money from Hager. They'll "certify" anyone, for a fee.

I couldn't care less. It's a paid endorsement and, as such, is meaningless.

Exactly. It's not like I put too much trust in the current Powers That Be at the ANA anyway.

I agree with Russ. Why would PCGS want to buy this, unless it's at minimal cost?

I agree with pretty much all of the above.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

ANA endorsements are for sale to the highest bidder or the one with the best political connections. One need only have been a member for the last 25 years and kept up the scandals in the numismatic press to know that.

I wouldn't have any added confidence in anything the ANA backed.

If I were a newbie, the endorsement might matter to me.

It would matter more if their were an ANA grading oversight board to settle grading guaranty disputes.

It would mean absolutely nothing to me

if PCGS was certified by ANA. PCGS stands on its

own high merits. They should save the companies money.

The only photoshop to it is the hair on two of them. The donation and photo-op with the ANA was real.
