Yes, that Eliasberg Proof half dime is the real thing.
Here's another old piece that is original. It's an 1800 "LIBEKTY" half dime. The "B" was made from a broken letter punch that sort of looks like a "K."

I just remembered this old timer I have that I found my pics of. I bet this one is real close to original. I really wish some of these older pieces weren't worth so darn much so I could keep them around the house instead of just their pics
