I Can't Figure These Auctions Out

Look at the final prices of these morgans, normal run of the mill dates, nothing special, for ridiculous money. Auctions 200017047121, an 1881-s ms64 for $247.50, auction 200017334013, an 1879-s ms64 for $198.50, man, I could be a quick millionaire if I could sell my morgans for that!!!
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Some people who are new to coins look at these common date, Mint State Morgan dollars, which are very common from government hoards, and think they must be rare. What would be even more confusing to these collectors, is that an “insignificant” coin, like a cent of the same date, can sell for more in Mint State than a big, impressive silver dollar.
