    Nice mirrors!

I assume it's PL, but I've seen some nice circulation strikes.

I agree, great coin. Could use some color though (I'm partial to color; my numismatic downfall). Did it come out of a '81 plyofilm (sp) proof set?

It came from a collection I bought about 6 months ago so I don't know where it originally came from. I think the coin is MS not P-L but to be honest, Canadian coin types confuse the heck out of me.

Your wish is my command 'kat. I had a few free NGC submissions so I sent it in today. I put MS on the form, I bet NGC calls it PL.

It's quite simple. PL coins were made from select blanks on slower moving equipment for a premium finish. They will show a sharper strike and deeper mirrors than circulation strikes, except in those instances where circulation strikes are well-struck with deep mirrors.

I will go on record as PL64. The obverse looks really clean--I'm being conservative because of the tics on the canoe. A nice coin.
