possible 2 1/2 feather 28-s buffalo??
I didn't notice this until I got the coin in hand but for all of you buffalo experts out there, could this 28-S quailfy as a 2 1/2 feather variety? I checked Lange's book and he makes no reference to this variety for the 28-S.
Funny how you can miss bigger aspects of a coin. It wasn't until I was closing examining a die clash at about 7-8:00 behind the indiean's neck and the associated die polishing lines where I guess they tried to remove the clash did I notice that the third feather is little more than a nub.

<< <i>I have one listed in the Buffalo nickel abraded die book I've just completed. >>
That book is amazing, by the way. Gave me a headache and made me slightly depressed...it will be years before I sneak up on the back end of what you know about this series. Just very impressive--well done!
