Are you kidding me? IGS? How about XGS, PQGS, TGGS, or SUXS ???
PCGS and NGC are the only grading services with broad market acceptance. Of the two, PCGS clearly has a strong edge in market acceptance. Beyond that, a second tier comprising ICG and ANACS has limited acceptance. Anything else is pretty much a disaster. Every time I hear about some other random third-tier or lower grading service, I don't know whether to laugh or cry, or perhaps just throw up.

I did once but not really on purpose. I was bidding on a NGC SS republic special edition medal and the seller also included a IGS graded seated quarter. Surprisingly, it was graded correctly.
As far as classic coins go, ICG is superb. Others will point out that many dealers will want to discount ICG coins (i.e. buy them at a discount from you) and this is even more so on the east/west coasts. This is unfortunate as there are a lot of very good coins in their slabs which more than likely are selling at full price but sometimes you'll be lucky and buy them at a discount.
Which IGS? There are at least two of them. One is an older firm that seems to have done a fairly good job. (two different custom holder styles) and the other one is a recent fly-by-night company using generic over the counter slab shells.
