I thought this would be an entertaining topic. I recently dug up some old videotapes of mine and watched an old COACH episode with Troy Aikman in it. My wife and I were laughing from start to finish..it was hilarious. Coach Hayden Fox was suffering from infertility and he decided to ask Troy Aikman to donate his sperm. He calls Troy's Mom up and says "Mrs. Aikman I want to have Troy's baby," She then hangs up on him. Then through Jimmy Johnson's barber, Hayden gets a hold of Troy and Troy agrees. At the end of the show, Hayden has to tell Troy that his wife didnt want to get a donor but to keep trying with Hayden.. Hayden tells Troy "Your going to have to sit this one out Troy..she wants to go with the old man." "Troy replies..Yeah....Everyone wants to go with Joe Montana!." What a classic episode. What other classic athlete cameos can you recall?

I think Walt Weiss was a batter in the movie Major League and pops out to the catcher.
Also, Pete Vuckovich was a 1st baseman in another baseball movie.
These are the first two that come to mind.

Everyone, of course, remembers Don Drysdale and Joe Namath in the Brady Bunch. There was also another football player who I can't remember.
Frank Thomas was also in Mr.Baseball.
I keep thinking of others- Sandy Koufax was in an episode of Dennis the Menace.
<< <i>Terry Bradshaw and Joe Klecko in Hooper............ >>

Another funny cameo was Lawrence Taylor on Waterboy when he tells the group of kids " Dont smoke crack!"
-- Yogi Berra
Don Drysdale also appeared on the Donna Reed show and Leave it to Beaver (long distance call deal).
Duke Snider appeared on Father Knows Best (barnstorming days).
Frank Robinson and Ernie Banks – Cosby.
Frank Robinson, Ernie Banks and Johnny Bench – Yes, Dear.
I know people will come up with a ton of these.

Leo Durocher was also in a Mr Ed episode with Sandy Koufax, Willie Davis and Johnny Roseboro. Never saw a sliding horse before.
Here's some useless Munsters baseball trivia. Ken Hunt, who played for the Yankees, Angels and Senators was the real life step dad of Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster.

Vuckovich, a former pitcher, played first baseman Clue Haywood. His greatest line: "How's your wife and my kids?"
Steve Yeager, a former catcher, played pitcher "Duke" Temple. Bob Uecker (playing Harry Doyle) when introducing him: "This guy threw at his own son in a father son game."
<< <i>Actually, Major League had 2 great cameos...

"For a number of people, this is their Harold Lloyd film, especially if they are from New York City. I can understand that, as it's a funny movie and has great shots of what it looked like in NYC in 1927. (The film was released in 1928). It also is famous for having a 5-minute guest appearance by Babe Ruth."

<< <i>Not really cameos in movies or TV shows, but I like to watch some of the old "Whats my Line" TV shows on GSN. Last week two of the "mystery" guests were Denny McLain and Jackie Robinson. Every once in a while they run an old episode which is all sports related which features Ty Cobb. Unbelievable stuff.... >>
Ray Nitschke was also on an episode. No one had a clue who he was.
Also, a bunch of Detroit Lions players were in "Paper Lion", along with Vince Lombardi If I remember right.
