He is the MVP unless the Sox miss the playoffs, if the Sox completely fall off the map and drop their possible wildcard spot then he won't win it.

Oh Jerry, before you think about arguing my last comment ..... just remember that Yankee fans have listened to you ALL year tell everybody about the Yankees weak farm system, how they were NOT PREPARED to face the injuries they have and are going to pay for it, about how the Yankee pitching was not on the same level as that crappy Sox staff , etc , etc, etc ...... we have held out all year and did nothing but defend the Yanks against such absurd analysis. With all due respect, its time to TURN THE TABLES BABY whoooooo hooooooooooooooooo
I understand turning the tables, Dan - but did the Yanks go out and buy some pitching (other than Lidle) that I missed? How is that staff going to fare in the stretch run? Randy Johnson might win a few 9-8 games for you, but he's basically ineffective at this point. Which leaves you 2 serviceable pitchers (Mussina and Wang) neither of whom I'd bet my money on in a big game. Give me Schilling, Beckett, Lester, Wakefield, and anyone else (even Wells!) anyday. Doesn't look like Papelbon is cracking yet, either.

Well of course Jer, you are a Sox fan. I say you are NUTS to take that gopher ball tossing overrated Beckett over Wang or Mussina ..... unless you want a stiff neck from turing to watch the long ball. Schilling ..... Ok ..... Lester? In the post season? That boy has not proved anything yet ...... Wakefield ?
