Do you plan on buying an ANA auction coin?

RYKRYK Posts: 35,788 ✭✭✭✭✭
Now that the B&M sale is (a-hem) finally posted, do you plan on buying any coins in the auction? And what? Be as specific as you can. I'll go first: I plan on being a strong bidder for three branch mint gold coins (sorry, I cannot be more specific image ), one additional southern gold coin, a Morgan ( image ), and some other misc crap. Oh, and I still have to collude with Reece to see who gets to bid on the ____-O $_ gold coin. image

Plenty for inventory. None for my collection since there's no darkside material in any of the sales.

Not much for me at B&M; one coin each at ANR & Heritage have my interest.

I am looking at a couple of coins for my new series. I guess I will have to wait to see if my bids are strong enough. image

Between Heritage and ANR, there are plenty of image coins to choose from.

put in some bids in ANR for some colonials, some silver, wanted to do less, in fact, there's only one I 'believe' in and I think I just went overboard. Heritage has some great copper I'm bidding on, so doe Superior. I think I just broke the bank.

I have a few bids in already. Let's see if I win anything, though.

OK, thanks for the heads up. BTW, I was not looking at that coin. image

I'll know after I view the lots. I see some gold that may be of interest but I am pretty picky about surface preservation in the series I collect. For that reason, I never bid sight-unseen on gold. Being able to actually attend the viewings is a real treat and I may find something I want. With four auctions and three shows spread over 10 days it will be very busy.

I have my sights on two in particular on Platinum Night (and others in the other sales), but if I don't make it to lot viewing there is no way I will drop six figures on them.
