Nice Lincoln Arrived Today

I feel I got lucky on this one. Sellers photo wasn't all that hot and I could see it had some color. Price guide has this one at $350 and I got it for less than 1/3 of thatimage Not quite sure if it's technically a 67, but PCGS thinks so. Some real value in the RB and BN Lincolns I feel. With 2009 fast approaching, I'm a buyer of nice Lincolns.

Very nice color. I'm not too sure of the grade (i.e. the tick on the shoulder and the the '1'); however, I still think you got a very nice coin for the price.
  • I LOVE that coin!
  • Oh and by the way, YOU SUCK. The last 67RB of that date that came up went for over $700!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats a really nice coin Lee. Tough call on the grade, clearly fully struck "O" which is of utmost importance to PCGS but it does seem to have a few stray marks that would indicate a grade of 66 is more in line. I think that a RB coin like this shows market grading for what it is. If this coin was given the RD designation I'l bet that 66 would have been the grade. But because a RB designation means a much lower selling price, well you get my drift. In any event its got eye appeal to spare.image

I don't mean to be critical, but could someone give me a grading lesson and explain why the scratch from the rim through the left wheat and ending in the O of ONE, along with the dig below the E in AMERICA, don't keep it out of a 67 holder?

The long scratch from the wheat to the 'O' appears to be on the holder.
