1822/1 CBH AU 58 , Anyone else think

this is a bit high for a 58 ? Granted it has very nice eye appeal .

I think PCGS graded it right as a 58. As a 55 it would be undergraded imo....and certainly undervalued.
Something tells me that this 1822/1 half will bring well in excess of the listed CDN MS60 price ($850)

Depends on what you think you should be able to buy a nice AU58 for. The people who win these things at auction usually pay very close to MS63 money....
Don't tell anyone, but the 1822/1 is not really an overdate.
<< <i>i grade it 2200 in this current market >>
I agree with your grade.

<< <i>Nice looking AU58. Someone working on a PCGS Registry set will undoubtedly pay more than the current high bid of $1400 plus the juice. >>
I strongly doubt this is destined for a Registry Set, and I agree with Michael's prediction of $2200. Hammer.

Why do you doubt this coin is destined for a registry set? Is it not worthy, or what?
