Which coin series is the COLDEST right now?

Some obvious choices would probably be Sac bucks, Ikes, Jefferson nickels.

    I don't think Washington quarters are all that hot.

    The State Quarter series has been going for eight years. Those where going to go back and collect the earlier Washington Quaters have done it, and there is not much "new blood" coming into the Washington quarter area now. The key dates, like the 1932 D and S coins have been dropping in price. No, the bloom is off the rose for Washington Quarrters.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    I think Franklin Halfs have been cold for years and should get more respect.
