Wow; I've only been to Ebay one time and then I did not win. That is cool, dare I say it, I just might have to check out the Bay again. Does seem they have some unique items. jws
I notice it doesn't show a date. Is that unusual for a CW token?

Really nice. If your dad is mad about bidding extra, just tell him you won't do it again... until you have to. Hahaha! I really like little pieces of history like this. Have you done any research on this token? If you do, let us know what you find out.

I have been a collector for over mumbly-five years. I learn something new every day.
<< <i>My dad's probably going to be a little mad, because I bid a bit more than I had permission for. >>
Tell him to get used to it, you've established the pattern now. (And from personal experience I can say you are going to find yourself doing it again and again in the future.)
Really cool. If you find yourself getting bored with it - send it to me. I'll mail you a self-addressed-stamped-envelope to make it more convienient for you.
Seriously now, I was intrigued by your statement
<< <i> I sniped this one at the last minute. >>
Have you ever sniped at the last second? I used to get within about 2 seconds of the auction close - was too chicken to cut it down to the last second. Of course since then I've discover the sniping services. Most of them are free - but to cut it closer you have to pay a fee.

Actually, I think I sniped it with 13 seconds. I didn't actually think I would win it, but the high bidder had reached the max of his proxy bid. I've never used a program to do it before.
And I don't think I will be bored with it anytime soon!

Yeah, a bit unusual. It does say 76 and 61, which I take for 1776 and 1861, but no true date, you're right!
