Post an aqua blue toned IH reverse

Coinguy1's post shed some light on blue toned IHs.
The sad part about his post is it casts a shadow of a doubt on all blue toned IH's.
So lets get some parimeters straight. Aqua - not deep blue/violet - is a color that can't be easily AT'd.
I see so many originally toned IH's with aqua toned reverses. Exactly why they tone this way,
I haven't a clue. My guess is the method of storage. They were stored reverse down in a draw?
Post an aqua blue classic IH proof reverse. This is a lousy early pic but you get the idea.
An 1891 NGC PR65BN reverse.

This is a little better. 1900 NGC PR65BN. With some nice green mixed in.

This is even better. 1907 NGC PR66BN. Completely different toning from obverse to reverse. The reverse
has the classic aqua toning, as many of the "Jones Beach" coins had.

I'd rather enjoy your pictures.
This is exactly my point.
Are all blue toned IH proofs fakes? No. That is is the sad part of Coinguy1's great post.
PS: Pushkin, I think your IHC would slab if it had a more glossy patina, with slightly more blue than purple.
"Seu cabra da peste,
"Sou Mangueira......."
<< <i>I love toned IHC, but a few weeks ago I heard it is real easy to apply that blue color with ammonia. Watch out! >>
how?
There's a big difference between blue & aqua.
Read Rob790's "Some myths and misunderstanding about toning" post for a better perspective. Light blue (aqua) is last in
the line of first progression colors (red & green are among the very last progression). Aqua has got to be a tough color to
artificially create, and aqua with some green or red blended in near impossible. Remember, coin doctors want a quick
turnover. Sell the coin before it possibly turns and before any questions are raised.
The point of my post is don't let the unscrupulous acts of some greedy coin people turn you off to monster toned IH proofs.
Consider the plight of monster toned silver collectors. They've been aware of coin doctors for years, continue to collect them,
and sell them for great profits.
To me, there's still nothing quite as beautiful as a fully mirrored monster toned IH proof, the original ones.
I'll reshoot this after I get it into a new holder--this one has more scratches than any other I've ever seen.
