Yes, I think we did. I bought the GAI 7.
Got the case open.
Top card,
Boog Powell Gorman Thomas
centering is awesome so far, but these 2 have 2 touched corners.
Rod Carew! Touched bottom left but stron centering
Dave May, strong cent and corners but print line across top.
1965 MVP (Mays!) Slight O/C l/r solid corners.
Dave Kingman - 2 touched corners
Woodie Fryman - great corners, O/c t/b
Jim Brewer - 9 chance IMO
Pat Dobson - another 9 chance IMO
1963 MVP (Koufax) - solid corners and centering, but a gum stain on the back.
Very satisfied. I bought a 7 and expected for the corners not to be strong through out. I think the Carew has a shot at an 8 as does the Mays and Kingman. Hopefully the Brewer and/or the Dobson can pull a 9.
I compared the cards you got to their placement on the 1975 uncut sheets. It's not an exact science but they moved as expect excluding Gorman Thomas. First 4 are from the uncut sheet with all the (4 on 1) rookie cards:
Boog Powell - row 4 column 3 Gorman Thomas - ? should have been gary thomasson Rod Carew! - row 2 column 7 Dave May - row 1 column 9 (then moves off the sheet)
From the uncut sheet that contains Brett and Yount:
1965 MVP (Mays!) - column 11 (then moves off the sheet) Dave Kingman - row 10 column 2 Woodie Fryman - row 9 column 4 Jim Brewer - row 8 column 6 Pat Dobson - row 7 column 8 1963 MVP (Koufax) - row 6 column 10
John , I just opened 3 70 opc packs last night and had practically the same pack but the sequence was right as we talked before. 3 o/c denny mclain all stars , great , why couldn't they have been yaz!
after zefs bust i was hoping for something similar....no such luck.
nothing worth submitting. all cards o/c 80/20 or worse (except 1 and that's being generous).
oh well, it was worth a shot and fun busting. a lot better than my last GAI experience. cards appear to be in nm-mt condition except for the centering. colors are very nice
pedro garcia - back card wax stained dwight evans rick miller cardinals team card world series - game 2 - nicely centered could pull an 8. mike anderson steve mingori clarence gaston tom paciorek will mcenaney
no legitimacy concerns regarding this pack as opposed to my last gai bust.
Thanks,

Quick question. I like to pick up a 1975 wax pack too, but the regular issue. How much would I expect to pay and where did you pick up yours? Any other good sources for wax packs other than E-bay you can point me to?

steelers, i can't explain other than there seems to be plenty of supply on the "mini" whereas the "regular" stuff seems to be sporatic. even though the mini is supposed to be scarcer, i see it more often than the regular.

the minis are cheaper because the market was flooded in the late 90's i believe it was. apparatly someone had been sitting on about 200 cases of 75 mini since 75 . ever since then the minis have been cheap
You can pick up a GAI 8+ 1975 regular-size wax pack on ebay for about $60 these days. They are tougher to find right now than the minis for sure. A nice 1975 Topps mini wax box goes for about $1,400, while a regular-size 1975 wax box (both contain 36 packs) will set you back about $2,500.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
The 1975 minis have the same number of cards per pack (10) as the regular-size packs. The only difference is the size of the cards themselves. There are some 1975 "fun packs" floating around, too. Those packs, like the more common 1974 fun packs, have only 2 cards per pack.

Brought this up from waaaaaay, way back. Is there much/any value to the 2 card mini wax packs?

The fun packs from 1975 actually contain 3 cards, not 2. They do have value...for example, a 1974 2-card fun pack retails for about $25 whereas a full-sized pack is about $175, so figure on about 1/7 of the retail value of a full-sized pack (or maybe a bit more due to the extra card). Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 cards will be gum and wax stained, though if back card is faced out, a nylon will wipe away the wax.

It really only feels like 2 cards in there but I sure can't be positive. I tried to weigh the pack but I don't have anything to compare it to. I appreciate the info! Great having experts on the board in so many fields!
Oh, and I had looked on the pop report for graded packs and there were both 2 and 3 card packs showing graded. Just wasn't sure if there were both or maybe they made a mistake.

I believe Topps transitioned from 2-card to 3-card fun packs in 1975 (1974 fun packs were definitely 2-card packs and 1976 fun packs were definitely 3-card packs) but it is also conceivable that they produced both 2-card and 3-card packs as card count fluctuated even in retail packs during this era (1974 packs contain 8 or 12 cards and 1976 packs contain 7 or 10 cards). Only one way to find out!

you can expect to pay almost 2x for a regular pack vs mini depending if you want to go the GAI route.
i purchased my pack from www.dacardworld.com for less than $40. www.bbcexchange.com is a well-known resource for unopened material as well.
good luck and share your results should you decide to make the plunge.
