Hey Filam, we collect coins, not plastic.... image

But this coin should have the resident Mouse salivating at his wee rodent muzzle.

Absolutely fantastic reverse, but the obverse has some issues for that lofty grade.

Well, to be entirely honest, I'm still contemplating it, a nice dupe never hurt anybody. image

But let's wait and see if the price gets underlined first. image

Here I am. It's a pity that one can't determine a coin's grade with any real accuracy via an image. The REV. colours on the NGC piece are pretty, and likely both coins were kept in a similar type holder, but Dimitri's was flipped at some time. Although a generously sulfured envelope can do the same thing as evidenced by the Bertie florin.

$1100?? image Hey, it looks like I should raise my prices......imageimage

Crossing?? Who knows. That monster half crown which WAS in an NGC66 slab did cross to PCGS as a 66......but they viewed it as a RAW submission.....image No guts, no glory....and, if you have guts (and knowledge) you're as likely to still be gored.image

Oh, so Dimitri hasn't gone yeti, after all. Good.

Not surprising that such a coin would draw him out.

    (Heck, it made ME look.)

    Gorgeous coins.

I know; I was just joshin' with you! Great coin. I wish I could see better pictures of the coin, or better yet, to see it in hand.

Unlike several other members, I believe that NEN's photographer takes excellent photos, and most must be through slabs. Capturing luster, detail and such complicated toning looks no easy task to me, a still picture can only go so far.

Sold gentlemen, not to me. Yet another proof, that extraordinary coins sell the fastest despite their price.

Once you open an establishment similar to NEN's and invest about $500K in inventory for starters, plus $10K in monthly salaries and expenses maybe. Until then, I'll give you $300 for every 1850 PCGS MS67 franc that you'll find. image

If I find one tomorrow that is truly MacWorthy (& PCGS), of a "real" MS67 then we can talk (or trade for your MS66). As my mouse grandpa, Laird R. O. Dent, taught me as a wee rodent, "Superb quality is to be reckoned as a land free of felines - - - pure, eternal bliss!! "imageimage

But you misheard and thought that he said "a land free of hairlines"? Is that how you became a demanding collector? image

Besides, felines are great. Grrrrrrr. image
