  • I really like the reverse, but the obverse is distracting. Nice coin though.

Gorgeous, but I'd want to see it in-hand first.

The 68 grade scares me too....Mike

You're going to have an easier (albeit, not easy) time finding a nice PF Barber Half than its business strike counterpart.

Do your best to avoid circular arguments, as it will help you reason better, because better reasoning is often a result of avoiding circular arguments.

I just had the 1893-O in ANACS AU50 I won on Ebay delivered to me today. Has the classic XF45 look from the New Orleans mint. One problem. There's a parallel scratch 1/4 inch long directly above Liberty's head in the field. image

I knew this would have crossed as an XF45 in PCGS. Sadly, I must return this coin. First time I have ever done so. Check out 230002137868 on Ebay. If you squint, you can see the scratch. And no, it is not on the plastic as I have looked it over from every angle but sunny side up.

    CRUD!

The good news is that I made a 1893-S in XF45. SWEET. Should get it delivered here in a few days.

I totally agree. I bought a similar barber from ANR pics and it looked almost black in hand. You might need special lighting or filters to get those colors to come out.

Any how it is possible what you see is what you get but I would have someone look at it first.
