  • it looks like a Fine example of a VAM-84 to me...Yep it sure does! The line under the first 8 tells me that it is definately a VAM-84 the polished nostril is another indication. If I am not mistaken this is one of the coins needed in the super and major vam sets if attributed

Hi Bryan, I just checked it and it is indeed the VAM 84. POP 7 with none finer so far of those attributed by PCGS. Anyway, nice bonus and the price is the same.image

Let's auction it HERE. I think it is a $400-500 coin.
  • I just sold a VAM-84 with clashed E in a NGC holder MS-64 and it was a VAM84a (ngc doesnt attribute 84a yet) and it sold for 230.00 on ebay

I just sold it. Perhaps the person who bought it from me would like to flip it though for that kinda money.image

"POP 7 with none finer so far of those attributed by PCGS. "

... and I have two of them! image
    When in doubt, don't.
  • I guess I'm going to have to join PCGS so I can get some of mine attributed, I am already a member of the one across the street but would rather keep my PCGS coins in PCGS slabs. I have quite a few VAM's needing attribution in PCGS slabs I have seen a few VAM-84's in MS-66 unattributed in PCGS slabs

I see you are missing the VAM-81 like me in your set. Aint that thing a hard coin to find? I have been looking almost a year and the only one I have seen was on ebay and it sold for over 500 bucks (which I wasn't going to pay) and now its back on there with a 685.00 BIN price
oh yeah, and its a MS-63 PL also

  • I received the coin today and with further inspection it is a VAM-84A , with a clashed N (from IN) on the Obverse at the neck and clashed E (from LIBERTY) and clashed M (from designers intial) on the Reverse. Thanks for the coin
