  • I can think of a few cool products from the last five years that I think card company's should think about bringing back. One was 2002 UD Authentics where you could get redemptions for UD memoribilia. I mean there was a ton of killer stuff from players Favre, Montana, Manning, etc... Also 2003 Absolute baseball and football and those nice glass plaques. With stuff like that you felt like you were getting something of value instead of a $2.00 jersey card. Why not have one of the company's do a throwback set and one in every three boxes have a redemption for a PSA graded card of 50 of the top players ever. How cool would it be to pull a redemption for a '63 Clemente PSA 7 or a '75 Ryan PSA 9. Just a thought!

I think that redemption idea is a great one. And I agree re: some of the past products, and how there seemed to be more value in them. I actually kind of liked 2000 Bowman Reserve, for instance, with the mini helmets and all. I'm surprised that idea didn't take off.
  • Not saying those products weren't popular but card company's most likely found it easier to load their products with cheap jersey cards and crappy autos instead of offering value in their products.
