<< <i>Why?? >>
Ignorance It is a real shame that PCGS is the one behind this hosing of the uninformed public. The "First Strike" designation is meaningless, but is playing off of a real numismatic term which does have meaning.
<< <i>Not really. A lot of the value out there is numbers not the quality. There are going to be less First Strikes than the other coins. >>
That means PCGS gets to make their own rarity. Why not just make one and charge about a million bucks for it?
Thats my take on it anyway

<< <i>hmmm i'm a little lost too in "first strikes" and 80,000 of um.....i'd think after a die strikes it's first coin all others are become numerically higher.so if the mint uses 100 dies for a years denomination then there can only be "100" first strikes released during the duration of that year.not 80,000 in the first month...and to all who bash such logic...lol go ahead >>
I think submitting for 1st strikes stop after the end of January.
