So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
  • Don't we all miss the amazing feats of strength accomplished by a certain plifter?

not my all-time favorites, but they surely merit dishonorable mention.

The 1990 topps baseball blackless research is a great read! Very interesting and makes my 90s cards more exciting to sort through :-)
    Error and RC collector.
  • I always liked the ones where Rube was blowing stuff up
  • The thread where people piled on the guy who said he might need to hire a collection manager was a lot of fun for me. And then he'd periodically get ripped on for it out of the blue on other threads that had nothing to do with it.
'Sir, I realize it's been difficult for you to sleep at night without your EX/MT 1977 Topps Tom Seaver, but I swear to you that you'll get it safe and sound.'

  • My favorite thread was one that took some bizarre turns with our (at the time) resident bizarro RichG. Sadly, it was later found out several months (or a year) later that RichG had died in a pretty bad car accident I think. Karma is real my friends.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll shake your head why. the very memorable RichG
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Rich was a pharmacist. Before he went to work, he posted on a trainwrecked thread on the eBay forum that he would continue his fight when he got home. He had to go to work. He died in a car wreck on the way to work shortly after that.
