So which is it? Do you embrace the current inequities of payroll, or are you in favor of a salary cap in which all teams play on the same level?
hmmm since you have asked me a direct question i'll try and answer it to the best of my ability. Hopefully it will sink into your head
I am not in favor of a cap and at the same time I am not in favor of such huge disparity in payroll, like you have kept insisting. That is the short answer. is that clear?
In a previous reply, yesterday, I thought I said that i was in favor of TV money being shared EQUALLY among the teams. A team can spend whatever money that they want. the real question is will crappy teams like your mariners use the money that they would get in my plan and pay salaries with it? Or at the least use it to sign guys out of HS and college and stock a farm system?
have I know anwered you? Or are you going to keep acting like an a$$hole and insist I said something i did not?
Go back and read what i said yesterday.

PS BOO how can you disagree with me? This guy is a cement head!
Sharing tv revenue does nothing without a cap...look what's happening now. The Devil Rays have absolutely no chance whatsoever of keeping their top prospects, not with the red sox and yankees each spending $130+ million on payroll. Tell me why a team owner, under those circumstances, would EVER pay $70 million in payroll over $30 million in payroll? What, to win 70 games instead of 60 or 50?
It makes no business sense whatsoever. And whine and moan all you want, but there isn't a successfull business owner out there anywhere who would pay that extra $40 million.
No, these team owners are required to put that money into payroll. They are, however, required to make money for their stockholders. The owner makes his money, the players make theirs. The only ones who suffer are the fans.
I am so sorry that you, being a spoiled NY fan, can't see that fans of teams like the Royals, the Pirates, long standing, proud franchises, are the ones getting screwed under the current economic system. I am sorry spoiled owners like Steinbrenner feel like if these other teams disappeared it would be ok.
You want to say baseball's been just fine for 100 years? I dare you to say that to the proud fans of these small market teams who can't afford to be competitive anymore, and see if you walk out of there without a limp.
You are like gum stuck to a shoe. No matter what one does it is impossible to get it off.
