All I can say to the idea that eBay is going to fade away is:

Hmmm......I wonder how the old PUT option is performing today. Hopefully it's a longer term option.

<< <i> II do think that Paypal is slowly becoming more and more of a burden. Everyday more and more sellers wake up and decide they do not want Paypal controlling their business. That loss of revenue is hurting them.

In the past 3 months I have seen 3 of the largest sellers on Ebay go south all of the sudden most recently was the beloved Parrothead88.

    >>

I did business with Parrothead88 and got this reply from PayPal this a.m. regarding non-delivery. Needless to say that PayPal and I are no longer friendly. This is the second time they've screwed with me. I'll win this too as I paid by CC and have already filed for chargeback.

<< <i>After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer
    Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds
from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery
of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Sold at the open--32.98. Shoulda held. Oh well, 9.4% is better than a sharp stick in eye.

Hope you still have them. You should be at a small profit.
