    Sean, that is your picture.image

This might not look that rare but this is the nicest center broadstrike that I have seen for that year, I think there are more off centers for that year even though people thinks the off centers are worth more.

<< <i>I would also think that after 10 posts on the forum you would be more interesting in...learning about coins... >>

Believe it or not, some people can be very knowledgeable about coins, and just not post on this board. I don't think this board consists of everyone who is knowledgeable about coins. What's Q. David Bowers' post count? How about Scott Travers? Are they up to 4000 posts here? I love this idea, which is internet-wide, that if you're new to a particular board, that you just bought your computer last week, you use AOL, and don't know internet terminology or etiquette, let alone know anything about the topic of the board. I've been using the internet since 1992 (Mosaic) and have been eBaying since 1996, but you wouldn't know that from my post count on this particular board, and you would probably advise me to watch and learn how a message board works.

  • << <i>cmon,... your not gonna start name calling are you.... A guy with so many posts.
lighten up dude, and post some more of your lincoln pics. >>

I didn't insult you....I asked you a question? Now if I said that I knew you looked like your avatar.....now that would be an insult.

As for posting more Lincolns.......did you post any here?image

  • ooh ....ouch.....
your the dude that brought it here. ...Not a good social norm.
    bad for the board.

Shane had to finish his arguement by name calling.
I guess thats what happens when you are in the wrong.

Please post the name that I called you? I asked you a question....do you look like your avatar....and you didn't respond? That's bad form......

I don't know how you figure I am wrong unless you are a shill for one of the members in the original argument? That's the only way you would have facts to support one side or the other ...correct? I have longevity on these boards becuase I don't try to tell folks how to play nice with each other. I can also assure you that I have contributed quite a bit to these boards over the past 6 years where as that would be highly speculative at best in regards to you with your 14 posts since Novermber 03'.....but maybe your just pacing yourself image

Please do post a coin to this thread so we at least know you own some coins image

  • I am wrong for continuing this arguement,
and I apologize to the members.
I did not want the attacks brought to the board,
and now Ive slunk to perpetuating it.

Hey....thinking about it....does someone have an early lincoln proof that they can post (toned preferable) so I can maybe see the difference in early proofs?

This WAS on the BST board and eBay, but it isn't anymore, so I suspect it's OK that I post it here now.

Went for less than fiddy bux. I was happy with my take on the coin, although I do think the buyer did pretty well, too ;-)
    Philately will get you nowhere....

I can kind of see how someone could think the 1912 I posted may have been a proof.

Still haven't gotten around to shooting a handful of magnificent toners from the Syracuse Hoard, but here's one that I've posted before with some nice (IMO) mottled toning.

That 63 Lincoln is pretty wild! Looks to be in great condition too.

Lincolncentman...I know you've been doing 'BN's for a while, your gem BN set was an inspiration.
I really like the look of that '42.

    This one look familiar?image
