Bugs Bunny Franklins now being labeled as such?

I read in an R&I newsletter that PCGS will now label Bugsy's on the insert if requested.

Previously, you could only get the bugs-label if you submitted as error tier.

Anybody know anything about this? Is it free? or do you have to do a Desig. review? or??

Especially if the variety was added to the Set Registry compositions, which I don't think is going to happen.

I picked up an MS Frankie set in a Capital holder about 6-7 years ago for $250.00.

The 1955 is a Bugs Bunny. If TPG's attribute Bugs Bunny 1955 Frnkies, my set may go up in value a little more.

I looked around the site, but there's no info on this. I would expect to find a new coin number (not there) or some mention along with the varieties listings (just Morgans and Peace dollars there).

Is PCGS paying a licensing fee to Warner Bros.? I doubt that one can use the term "Bugs Bunny" without their permission.

In the old days a 1955 Bug Bunny half sold for $1 premium over the normal one on the retail level. For example a BU normal sold for $8 while Bugs was worth $9.

Let's see how far you guys can drive up the preimum for what is nothing more than a clash mark.
