Would you ever display your entire collection on the Forum?

Or would you be concerned about security?

Never at once...dont think thats necessary.

Since my collection doesnt even reside in my house, Im not terribly worried.

I think if people stopped sharing their collections on here it would be a great loss.

I would never do it because

    a) I'm too lazy

    and

    b) I'd probably get OWNED by the next poster showing their whole collection, and mine would look like chit next to theirs

i wish more people had a link as their sig,
to a single page of html, that had their coins
placed, so i could just scroll down and be
    fricking amazed.

sadly, i am not there yet.

Didn't the Fatman post a pic of mountains and mountains of coins all over his pool table? That was an impressive collection!

It would be really time consuming, plus I don't want to bring out the embarrasing ones image

  • Big time lazy as well, maybe someday when I ever decide to sell any of it. I don't even know some of the crap I have. I'm not very good at keeping up with my inventory list.

Geez, I open this thread thinking I might find some pics of killer collections, and all I find is a bunch of junky coins thrown on a pool table.image

As for the security question, my coins don't live at home. I bring them all together about once a year for inventory, planning and play. Since that image was taken I have sold several hundred pieces. My current collection is better represented by the links below with a few additional type coins thrown in.image

Cool! Does that mean we get to play pool next time I come to Atlanta?

They sit in a safety deposit box, so they would have to rob the bank. click on the link below for a larger version.

here in NH and MA, we got a lot of rain. seven days of
rain and noah's ark was seen on the merrimack river.

i wonder how many "main street banks" in these two
states have very very wet premises. Including lower
    safety deposit boxes.

i never thought to think of getting a higher one off the ground.
    hm.

Same here. Rarely have much around away form the banks for long. Would also need a good wide angle lens to take it all in. Would be neat to see the whole thing in a photo but it's too much trouble.

The majority of my collection is available for viewing in my signature line.

I'm not fearful for my collection lives in the bank (that's what the photos are for!).
Collector of Large Cents, US Type, and modern pocket change.
  • The expensive part of my collection also lives in a bank. The rest of it I could never put together. I have hidden it so well over the years, I don't even know where it's stashed. It's terrible to get old and forgetful.
