First, I will post an exact copy of my description. Then I will post their "reason" why the auction was pulled. Then I will post my reponse. Hopefully you guys can help.

Shane
Have I mentioned that I am TICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shane
Shane
Had to be a newbee working tonight!
WOW!
I don't see anything wrong with it!
Shane
Now, that I think about it, I had a recent non paying bidder. Before I even reported it (1958 Topps Maris RC), he was already a non registered user. I just wanted my fees back. About a week later, the guy emails me threatening me to remove his "strike" (whatever that is) or he would get someone to mess up my auctions (that's basically what he said). All I wanted was my fees refunded. I have also had two other auctions revoked in the past couple of weeks. Remember the 87 Donruss Bonds error PSA 8 that I had? That one got revoked for saying that I accepted cash and that I "keyword spammed" for my other auctions.
I'd bet that's what happened. But still, you would think Ebay would at least look at it and see that it's legit.
Shane
Shane
That's the problem with ebay. Someone reports it and ebay will just remove listings!
WHAT A JOKE!
NOW I'M TICKED TOO!
remove his "strike" (whatever that is)
Don't remove his unpaid strike!
Unpaid Item Strikes and Suspensions
Why on earth would they pull this legitimate auction? You have a good reason to be pissed off.
Why would someone report it? Is there any chance that the Banks or Aaron are counterfeits? Those 2 cards especially are highly counterfeited cards which really should be graded so the buyer doesn't have to worry about getting fakes, intentionally or unintentionally.
Is there any chance that the Banks or Aaron are counterfeits?
How would ebay know they were counterfeits?

Have you ever noticed the amount of griping that goes on here?? A link to report this..a link to report that..

If everyone's got so much time to police the boards and ebay and this and that...heck I can use 5 or 6 good people to scan....make use of your time...lol
It hate the rip off artists as well...but I've got too much to do and no time to play internet detective....
Maybe...just maybe..it was payback from someone that this board reported!!??!!
HMMM conspiracy theory...
I mean..everyone's always posting..."just reported it"....

I've considered this before at times as well. One thing I find ironic is that while the Beckett boards take all kinds of abuse here ('what a bunch of illiterates', 'who wants to go post with a bunch of kids', etc.) those boards are FAR MORE hobby oriented, on the whole, than these are. Over there it's mostly about box breaks and big pulls-- the exact kind of thing that the hobby is, on some level, supposed to be about. I hate to say it, but there's a palpable vibe of excitement on the Beckett boards. It's seems populated by guys who really, really like buying cards, and really like sharing them. Just about everyone has something called a 'trade bucket', which apparently is a web page of the cards they have that they'd like to trade in exchange for cards of the players/ teams they're collecting. We talk a lot here about how it used to be in the 'good old days', when you used to break packs and trade cards with your friends, and yet the closest thing you'll find to that is on the boards which many people here like to ridicule.
On these boards, by contrast, it frequently feels like a bunch of grumpy middle aged men who take too much guff from their wives, their kids, their boss, etc., and have decided they AREN'T going to take it on Ebay. Now understand I'm not calling anyone out in particular; much less the original poster, who obviously has been victimized by yet another random act of Ebay stupidity. But the volume of threads here that in one way or another involve a beef either with Ebay itself or with one of its members is certainly seems out of proportion when compared to the number of 'why I love collecting cards' threads.

Okay, so you had the complete set in the auction, you had the Aaron in the auction, you had the Banks in the auction. Am I missing where you have the RC Cola in the auction? Shameless keyword spamming.

The main problem with this board, as I've stated before, is that 90+% of the members here scoff and turn their noses up at "shiny new stuff" while the Beckett boards seem to be less snooty.
Have I missed something somewhere?
I see you guy's point about the negativity. I don't believe I have been involved before. Please, let's get back on track. I have contacted Ebay last night. Still no reply.
I'm getting just a little antsy. Probably nothing I can do though.
Shane
I suggest sending Feebay an email including a copy of the non registered guys threatening email. I'd also tell them that you are relisting the item and if they pull it again you will cease to list items on their site.
You have to tug at their wallet to get their attention.
I had a similar problem with multiple auctions getting yanked for accepting cash and 1/1 in the title. I basically told them I'd stop listing if it continued and I haven't had a problem up to now.
Best of luck, Bob C.

You will not hear from ebay again.
Just relist it.
MY thought was that is was "too large" and "too expensive" to actually have? 130 cards, alost 60 PSA 10s and most of the remainder PSA 9s of the 1986 TT and 1987 Donruss opening day cards. I actually got an email from someone telling me to remove it and stop listing the counterfeit/fake PSA Bonds'.
A Picture of them and all the serial numbers weren't good enough for him and apparently not for EBay either.
Anyone interested in them beofre he breaks te record?
How does this crap happen? I pointed it out to them and of course mentioned that they are treating the good guys like crap yet allowing the 1000s of fraudulent auctions remain running every day.
I thought I would relist it, but then, what if they pulled it again? How do you get your account suspended?
What was your feedback?
Mine is 1,644 with 99.8% postive.
Keep in mind, they said they only pull auctions that are reported by someone.
Shane
i guess that idiot who emailed me reported it and they pulled it. Really not right considering I pay them a commission and have since 1998, and not they have some 16 feedback moron report it as suspicious and I am the one who's wrong? F- 'em. and now they want me driver's license, a utility bill, etc etc to verify my identity. 8+ years and NOW they want to verify my ID over one questionable auction?
I recall having a series of auctions pulled a few years ago and was told that if i relisted them and they were pulled again, the account is suspended for a min of 6 months... and i have seen friend's accounts suspended for less and they NEVER got them back.
<< <i>What is the deal with taking cash as a form of payment?

I'm in the same boat here. I have seen hundreds of postings with " accept cash at buyers risk" in the listing. I've even said it myself a couple of times...Guess I am stopping that practice!

Just happened to me too. They cancelled my bids and suspended me and my wife ( she buys collectibles) and said we needed to show all kinds of ID etc, or stay suspended.
We're both done on ebay. Too much BS, too many idiots. The guy who was talking about beckett was probably right.
I reported this 3 days before it ended. Campanella
I, too, got an auction pulled recently. Since I don't deal on ebay very often, I find it hard to believe that I made a buyer mad at me over a raw deal.
The first thing that crossed my mind, more than a disgruntled buyer of mine getting back at me, was that a disgruntled seller got mad because his/her auction was pulled. And the person that reported that auction was a disgruntled seller with a recently pulled auction. A gigantic domino effect that all started with nothing to do with me, or any of my previous buyers.
Just a thought.

Does one go to the bottom of the page and click Security Center? I saw a link to "report this item." I used that.
I had to practice this to see if I am right. I searched for keyword spammers on ebay by using "not PSA" in the search box. I chose 3 auctions that had that in their titles. I clicked on "report this item." I had to choose 3 prewritten statements about why I am reporting the auction. One time I had to specifically write the words that were being used as spam. Other times, just choosing the 3 prewritten statements was all that was required.
Did I do it the right way? I placed those three auctions under "watch" to see if they really do go poof.

Other times, I just scroll to the bottom of an auction listing and report it that way.

It's getting to the point where if you aren't a power seller, you might as well not even sell on eBay, as you'll never get someone to respond to your questions.
<< <i>Since I can't see the auction anymore, I have to go on memory. I am almost 100% sure that I listed it under sets. >>
I think it was a mistake on ebay's part. Some listings which are more obvious scams of some sort sometimes don't get pulled because of an oversight as well.
Sorry, Frank that this happened to you.

I wanted to say that but did not want to bust ya marbles.

I just got a reply from Ebay. Here is the email.
Hello Shane,
Thank you for writing in about this ended item.
Your items have been ended due to authenticity concerns by eBay. The
auctions contain common traits that are associated with questionable
listings. Specifically, the auctions are for high priced sports
memorabilia that are commonly associated with counterfeits.
We are extra careful with problematic sports card auctions. We are not
in a position to judge the authenticity of items. As such, we cannot
say for certain whether or not your card is authentic. As a reminder, a
seller must know for certain that the item they are selling is
authentic. To prevent a possible removal of your listing, we recommend
you get this item authenticated or graded. Here is a link to
authentication companies that eBay recommends:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/auth-overview.html
If you relist these particular items without authentication, the
auctions may be at risk of being ended as well as a possible suspension.
Again, thank you for taking the time to write to eBay's Trust and Safety
department. I appreciate your continued help in keeping eBay a safe and
fair place to trade.

Alyn
