LAUER, 1914, Struck silver medal, 33.4mm 18g. Scarce, fast Stempelglanz. Zetzmann 2036.

To commemorate the war meeting of the realm on 4 August, 1914.

Reverse: Three eagles (adlers) over the French (Rooster), Britain (Bulldog) and Russia (bear).

To me the three eagles on the reverse actually appear to be two: one with a single head (the German Empire) and one double-headed (Austria-Hungary).

Hi Brendan, Welcome! These aren't rare in any sense and you can find them in German auctions or at German dealers such as Pater or Olding. I bought this one because I liked the reverse and the condition was superior. They should sell for between $75-100 in this condition. S
