Do you get the feeling that maybe it's in a faked slab? Why refuse to show pics of the reverse? Obviously, PCGS isn't perfect, but why would they put it in a VF slab if you could tell just by the reverse that it's not VF? (I assume you could tell, or else why hide it?)
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.
<< <i>I think it costs more for a second picture on EBay, maybe he is saving up for gas money. >>
A second picture is 15 cents. For what the bidding's up to now, holding back on a 15-cent option is absurd. I've sold coins for $3 that had second pictures. Only a moron would buy a coin without looking at the reverse. (Apparently, he's found 3 of them so far.)

And the seller could simply stitch the two images into a single image and save the 15 cents. His description says it all.
Q: Do you have an image of the reverse of this coin? Apr-29-06 A: the reverse is just fine.....sorry, no time for pics.
Q: Hi, I saw your auction for a 1912 Barbe half. Can I get a picture of the reverse? Hard to judge a coin from only one side. Thanks Apr-29-06 A: the reverse is just fine....no time for pics, sorry.
Q: Is there anything wrong with the back of the coin? Does it look at nice as the front? Apr-29-06 A: the reverse is just fine....sorry, no time for pics.
Q: may i have a picture of the reverse? Apr-29-06 A: the reverse is just fine....sorry, no time for pics.
Q: Nice half - anyway I could see apicture of the reverse? Apr-29-06 A: the reverse is just fine...sorry, no time for pics. >>
It took him longer to type out all of his responses than posting a pic of the reverse woul have taken. That alone says enough to me, but then again he is selling the slab not the coin.
Alright, I have won the coin.....go ahead and send it to my address. Money? Oh I do not have enough time to send it......but do not worry, I do have money!
Do you think the seller would have a problem with this?
Great transaction with: Relaxn, Collectorcoins, OKCC

Alright, easy there. The high bidder is my brother, I saw this post and was quite amused by it.

Sorry for the offense. Your brother's obviously not the only one who was taken in. But buying a coin on the basis of the obverse only is like buying a car after only having seen it from one side -- especially when the seller tells you he won't image the other side. In what other context would anyone do such a thing? I'll accept the premise that the bid was a brain fart and not indicative of his normal behavior.

No offense taken whatsoever. I told my brother his name made it in a post and he got an even bigger kick out of it than I did. Everyone's entitled to express their opinion, that's what these forums are for. I consider myself fairly knowledgable in my series (morgans) and still learn something new here almost every day.

Q: I would like to bid on this coin, but is it ok if I don't pay for it... I really don't have enough time to pay for auctions.. I'm going to be paying for 200 auctions in the next month and paying for this one is just too much work. Apr-30-06 A: Sarcasam is better left to the forum boards....
Wow. There's an awful lot of discussion on this. And I said, "PCGS says it all". This is from the owner of the Golden Silver collection! (ha!) Yes, the responses did take longer than scanning the reverse. It's just the polite side of me that feels like I should respond to quesitons. But I couldn't figure it out....one coin getting all this attention. God, I love these boards! Filled with OCD people just like me (obsessive compulsive disorder).

I think I might ask him for a pic of the edge.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Everyone asked for and here it is!!
I wonder why he decided to add picture?
Bruce
all of the qualifying statements just turned me off.
Why a seller would be willing to accept significantly lower
bids to show only the obverse and then say that all sales are
final is a real turnoff to aggresive bidders.
