Anyone here an expert (or know of one) in Coin Silver spoons?

I have some (7) spoons of varying sizes that appear to be from the pre-Civil War era (based on how I interepreted the manufacturer names/hallmarks). I wish to get some sort of better date estimations on these spoons and eventually sell the whole lot of 'em.

You have your work cut out for you here.

There is a spoon collector's society but I can't even remember the name of it right now. This is probably the best bet.

There are probably a coin dealer or two who dabble in these. I'd call up one of the big wholesalers and ask advice.

I sold a collection of these to a dealer in Alabama a few years ago, but I cannot remember his name. I met him at an antique show, which is probably your next best avenue of search.

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
