This is for the folks new to the $10 Indian series. For those unfamiliar with the difference between the 2 coins, here's a side by side comparison of the 1907 $10 wire rim "pattern" (left) and the regular issue. The wire rim is PCGS MS64, the other PCGS MS66. .
The Indians features, the stars, letters, eagle, log, leafs, etc are all different. The luster is different. The wire rim pattern has all the triangular "periods" around the lettering. See any other differences??

"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose.

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
Any $10 experts want to chime in??
On the left is by Saint-Gaudens / Henry Herring the one on the right is Charles Barber's interpretation.
Note the date; March 4, 1905. I believe this was the genesis of the Saint $10 reverse eagle.
Guess why President Roosevelt fell in love with the design??
I took this picture (greatly reduced here) at the Saint-Gauden's historic home in Cornish, New Hampshire.
That's a pretty cool pic. Thanks for sharing it.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
