Hate to burst your bubble. I think the seller typed in the wrong BIN price. Sale most likely will be blocked.......

I didn't want to be greedy, so I only bought four
I know it sucks, but why should the rules be different for sellers?

<< <i>I don't know if it's fair to neg them, but the deal should go through. Would the seller accept the excuse that someone accidentally bid too much for their coin? It should work the same way for both buyers and sellers. Whatever you put as the BIN, even if it's incredibly stupid, should stand. You have to assume that everyone using Ebay is an adult.

What happened to ethics and honest mistakes? If you had done the same thing on accident would you honor the sale on the same coin? I think not! And if you say you would, I highly doubt that!
on the other hand, it was more than just a keystroke to get that price up there...
on the third hand just for a good story, they should give you the coin for a buck and use you in a print advertisement
If I only had a dollar for every VAM I have...err...nevermind...I do!!

If it were one coin that had a miskeyed amount your thought would make sense. So far I've counted about 30 that have been listed as such, not to mention the ones that have already disappeared due to people buying them. I agree with your theory, but I have to say there are a LOT of coins going up at that price, along with other prices. I'm sure they wont follow through on them, but if they do oh well.

They might use turbo lister and you can pre fill the price so all you would need to do it put $1.00 once and it would happen that easy. Its a mistake and everybody who buys any of these coins at a dollar is just a low rat and a thief if you ask me.

Precisely why I noted OTHER PRICES being placed in there as well. At this point, the other prices are showing all before or after b/c of the number of coins that are gone, but they had coins for $10 and $20 being placed in between the others. I guess you missed the part of me agreeing with you, unless you just wanted someone to try and argue with and I was the only one that acknowledged your statement.
I finally found one available but when I hit the BIN, one of you was a split second in front.
I wouldn't have expected them to follow through, but I would have expected some sort of compensation such as a certain % off on another coin later.
I don't think they are going to get away with just an oops on this one.
It's a binding legal contract for me when I go to eBay and do business, why would or should it be any different for them?

Have yourself a drink and lighten up. It's hilarious.... amusing.... and just plain funny to see someone like Superior do that kind of fubar.
I am not argueing with you at all. I had my chance to bid on a good many of the coins but I did not(Ethics on my part). I did miss the part where others with that price had been entered, but the pre filled idea I had could still come into play and coins added along with these, uploaded and on thier way. They may have even noticed and though they were all corrected. Fact in point to bid would be wrong and I am glad you agree with me.

Sure it might all be in fun and games for some of us, but there are those people who will drag this out and make it hell for the seller. Size does not matter if any coin dealer made that mistake they should be granted a free pass sorta speak. Not nailed to the wall like Jesus and left to die.
<< <i>They have 57 coins in completed items that sold for $1.00. >>
<< <i>They've already refunded my money with no explanation. the worst part is, I can't even get at it yet because it will sit in-transit between banks for a few days! I would have appreciated a brief note from them explaining what happened. Or at least given me the opportunity to let them know why I bid on it, I don't want them to think I'm trying to rip them off. >>
Yep....I "bought" one to get it off the list so that they would have one less possible pain in the a$$ to worry about.
Did I expect to get it? Nope.
Least they could do would be leave me positive feedback
